Description
Bluebonnet members whose peak demand is consistently above 250 kW are placed on the Large Power 250 kW rate. Bluebonnet's rate for Large Power services is divided into three line item charges on the bill; Wholesale Power Cost, Bluebonnet Large Power Services and Demand Charge. Wholesale Power Cost is the cost Bluebonnet has to pay our power provider for generating and delivering electricity to Bluebonnet's electric substations. Bluebonnet Large Power Services is the cost of delivering electricity to each member's business. The Demand Charge covers Bluebonnet's cost associated with having enough capacity to meet the member's power needs when their demand is at its highest. Applicable in conjunction with an otherwise applicable rate schedule for electric service to any facility of any four-year state university upper level institution, Texas state technical college, or college to which the Cooperative is required to discount the base rates, as provided in the Texas Utilities Code, Title 2. Public Utility Regulatory Act, Chapter 36, Subchapter H, Section 36.351. The provisions of the applicable rate schedule are modified only as shown herein.
